The Opportunity:

We are in search of an AV/VTC Technician to join our team and support an enterprise IT program within the Intelligence Community at the Pentagon. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in audio-visual and video teleconferencing (VTC) technology to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our systems. This position requires both specialized technical knowledge and a general understanding of related areas to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various VTC equipment including cameras, microphones, audio/video playback, recording, and duplication devices.
  • Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on AV/VTC systems.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of AV/VTC equipment.
  • Reserve, schedule, and set up AV equipment as needed.
  • Install and set up equipment like microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, monitors, and recording equipment, connecting wires and cables to meet event requirements.
  • Integrate customer devices with conference room equipment, monitor sound feeds, and resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment and coordinate requirements with customers and distant-end sites.
  • Use software to update reservation databases, coordinate ATC & VTC Bridge requests, and provide connection details.
  • Test connections with remote participants and manage assigned support tickets.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 3 years of help desk experience.
  • Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Contingent on passing a background investigation, including criminal and reference checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • InfoComm Basic Certification.
  • AV (InfoComm) - Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
  • AV (InfoComm) - CTS-I (AV System Installation).
  • AV (Q-Sys) - Level 1 and Level 2 certification.
