What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Technician position at NETcom?
NETcom Cabling and Security Systems is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Lead Telecom Technician in the Charlotte NC area.
NETcom is a Carolina owned and family oriented company who has been designing and installing low voltage commercial systems since 1990. NETcom performs the most professional of installs, retrofits, and repairs of commercial Telecom, Fiber, Access Control, Paging, and CCTV applications.
As Lead Technician, the chosen candidate will be expected to perform the following:
- Lead and manage a team of 2-4 technicians, overseeing successful installations, terminations, and testing of Telecom and/or Fiber Optic Cabling systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints
- Attend construction and progress meetings
- Attend prospective site surveys for new business opportunities
- Ensure that project documentation is thoroughly and accurately completed to the Division Manager in a timely manner
- Ensure site safety requirements are being followed and enforced
Special consideration to applicants who have the following experience:
- Experience working in active medical/sterile environments
- Experience setting up and operating a HEPA Cart
- ICRA Certified
- Any BICSI Certifications
Here are a list of requirements:
- Must have a minimum of an OSHA-10 certification
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in a supervising role
- Must have a minimum of 5 years as a Telecom Technician
**Due to the nature of the medical environment our client requires attending NETcom employees must be able and willing to accept an annual flu vaccination as well as a TB test all of which will be paid for by NETcom.
