What the role is:
Workstation Specialist
Level: Entry-Level
Reports To: Service Operations Manager
Basic Scope and Function:
The primary objective of the Workstation Specialist is to stage, configure and deploy new equipment for customers. Additionally, the Workstation Specialist will repair equipment and provide a diagnosis to the customer. Thirdly, this team member will work through assigned tasks and projects, occasionally resolving client requests via ticket, email and phone. The goals are to complete your work with accuracy and in an efficient manner to keep the delivery chain moving.
This is a hands-on position, so any candidate must be able to commute to our office in Danvers, Massachusetts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required:
- Problem-solving skills and an understanding of how to properly troubleshoot problems
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and plan your day appropriately
- Ability to document, create, analyze and test computer systems, programs, software
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Perform in depth systems analysis on a multitude of technology devices, operating systems and software
- Ability to ask qualifying questions to produce the optimal result
- Strong familiarity with Windows desktop operating systems
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of application
- Basic understanding of Apple devices and Mac OS
- Customer-oriented and task-driven attitude
- Reliable personal transportation for use in commuting to the NetCov offices is imperative as there is primarily where your work will be performed
Minimum Experience and Education Required:
- No prior IT experience is required
- No College Education or Certifications Required
Supervisory/Managerial Experience and Responsibility:
- No supervisory or managerial experience required
- No supervisory or managerial duties in this role
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in standard office environments. Client environments may vary. May be exposed to moderate noise levels from machinery. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for 8 hours or more daily
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Duties may also involve stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching and moving of equipment in order to install or check the installations of network devices and cabling. Travel to various worksites may be required
