Overview:

Navigate the cutting-edge world of edge networks and data centers as a Deployment Engineer at Netflix. Your expertise will shape the global content delivery network, ensuring seamless video streaming, cloud gaming, and live experiences for millions of members worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project manage design, planning, deployment, and refreshing of network and content serving infrastructure at new and existing Open Connect data center points of presence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to orchestrate deployments, deliver capacity, and develop project scopes while ensuring availability and performance.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including rack elevations, power consumption, cabling, run books, and handover documents, capturing all details for planned, installed, and as-built stages of deployments.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Edge Networks and Data Centers as a Deployment Engineer or similar role.
• Expertise in networking concepts and protocols, including routing, switching, DWDM, and fiber optics.
• Layer 1 knowledge, including patch panels, fiber optic connectors, optic types, and form factors.
• Deep understanding of power standards, including kW power/heat load, voltage, amperage, and applications of single-phase, three-phase, and DC systems.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses.
