About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Product Quality Leader – Electrical with a strong background in automotive electrical systems and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). In this role, you will be responsible for driving quality assurance efforts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and reducing warranty costs by identifying and resolving electrical quality issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and field services to maintain and enhance product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Issue Detection & Prevention: Identify, quantify, and proactively prevent customer quality issues through enhanced analytics.
- DTC Analysis & Reporting: Lead the analysis of Diagnostic Trouble Codes for electrical systems, identifying patterns, assessing customer impact, and applying appropriate quality resolution methods.
- Rapid Containment Actions: Actively search for and recommend rapid containment actions for identified field issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Initiate, coordinate, and prioritize quality actions with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams.
- Campaign Management: Request and present external campaigns based on technical descriptions to the External Campaign Committee.
- Safety Issue Identification: Identify potential safety-related issues from field reports and communicate them to the Safety Investigator.
- Effectiveness Verification: Ensure the effectiveness of implemented quality solutions through follow-up assessments.
- Communication & Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations on product quality investigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis and a strong understanding of statistical concepts.
- Experience with Aftermarket activities and support.
- Cross-functional team leadership or project management experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize issues effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Business and customer focus with the ability to build credible relationships.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
