Senior Application Engineer

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an Application Engineer to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in the design, architecture, development, and administration of enterprise applications.
• Write custom scripts to automate tasks and reduce human intervention in enterprise environments.
• Monitor system integrity, install and configure software and operating systems, and oversee new hardware and software implementation.
• Design and implement security systems, redundant backups, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
• Establish multi-platform versions of software packages and create tests to ensure compatibility and stability.
• Perform complex tasks and provide supervision to IT support staff.
• Support and maintain website and SharePoint environments, including content updates and new development.
• Develop applications in Microsoft Power Apps and integrate software with SharePoint to optimize workflows.
• Design and enhance web and SharePoint sites with graphics, menus, and tools while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Design and customize SharePoint sites based on user requirements to enhance functionality and user experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating required proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
• Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
• IAT II certification, compliant with DoD 8570.01-M requirements. (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSE, Security CE, SSCP, CySA **)
• CE: Professional level certificate
• Ability to work 100% onsite at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

• Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
• Experience in developing automated enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of multi-platform software development.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
