What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecommunications Field Technician position at Netlink Voice?
Job Summary
Netlink Voice is looking for a qualified Field Operations Technician. This job will largely consist of new equipment installations, user issues and wiring jobs. The ideal candidate will be very organized and independent with an ability to run jobs from start to finish with timely and accurate documentation.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
- Deliver, install, train and test products in a professional, courteous, timely and detailed manner.
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- VoIP equipment configuration and installation experience is a plus, including switches, routers, and VoIP phones
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Wiring knowledge, ability to run network cable, terminate keystones, install patch panels, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening
- Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to organize, track, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously without constant supervision
- Must be willing and able to:
- Work in a team environment and independently on certain projects.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Work off hours for cutovers and deadlines which may include weekend times.
- Willing to travel up to 5 days a week
