Job Title : Medical Assistant - Occupational

Duration : 2 months (can be extended)

  • Certifications : Phlebotomy and Audiometry (required)

Minimum Education : Associate’s / Technical Degree

Job Description :

You will work under minimal supervision to complete administrative and clinical tasks at the Stanford University Occupational Health Center.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist providers with patient examinations and communicate clinical information
  • Use electronic medical records for scheduling and documentation
  • Perform blood draws, injections, and clinical screenings
  • Schedule appointments and provide patient support
  • Prepare lab samples and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with patients, HR, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure quality control and assist with front desk operations as needed

    • Requirements :

  • Bilingual English Spanish (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, universal precautions, and medical terminology
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

    • Certifications :

  • Required : Phlebotomy, Audiometry
  • Preferred : Medical Assistant, Spirometry
  • Physical Requirements :
  • Regular physical activity including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds

    • Work Conditions :

    Exposure to blood and body fluids, requiring adherence to safety protocols
