What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Internal IT (Onsite) position at Netsmart?
Manage and develop a team of technical associates to deliver line of business outcomes. This position is onsite in our Overland Park, KS office.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic technology initiatives aligned with business requirements through ITIL Service Management practices
Build and manage high-performing technical teams through recruitment, mentorship, and career development programs
Oversee continuous delivery of software and technology updates to maintain functionality, security, and currency
Establish and deliver service availability targets, disaster recovery plans, and capacity management strategies
Lead implementation and improvement of technology services including optimization and root cause analysis
Manage financial planning, roadmaps, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
Maintain comprehensive documentation repositories for hardware and software technologies
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 5 years experience in a critical IT services organization
At least 3 years experience in direct people management and team leadership
At least 3 years experience with incident, change, and problem management processes
Demonstrated ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
Proven ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
Strong track record of developing people to meet both career and organizational goals
Preferred
Subject matter expertise in a relevant technology service line
Experience leading enterprise-wide technology transformation initiatives
Advanced knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks and best practices
Experience managing departmental budgets and resource allocation
Experience with strategic vendor partnerships and complex technology implementations
Expectations
Travel up to 20%
Available for non-traditional hours when project needs arise
Participate in on-call rotation to support system maintenance and security updates
