Please note that this 1 year contract position.
2nd Shift: 3pm to 11:30pm Monday - Friday
The client is looking for injection mold operators. If they do not exactly have that, they are looking for machine operators in a production or manufacturing environment where they have actually produced the part and have a good work history.
They are making plastic Microplates used in Labs around the world. These parts are made from an Injection Mold press. The operator inspects the parts that come of the Molding press to be sure they are within specifications. After they inspect them, they will stack and bag them and they also input their production digitally. They have a computer at every press with work instructions as well.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and processes
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Desire to be part of a motivated and energetic team
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Bilingual communications skills a plus
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform work in accordance with documented procedures in Traveler package.
Ensure product inspection criteria are observed and implemented throughout work shift.
Ensure timely arrival at work station and follow posted break and lunch schedules.
Follow department work schedule such that machine coverage ensures continuity in production.
Follow department procedures related to dress code and proper handling of product.
Track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments that have been performed.
Stop production and inform supervisor when product does not meet specifications.
Document production on forms provided to enable accountability.
Demonstrate care in the use of calibrated measuring instruments provided for the performance of job function.
Ensure proper function of all tools provided for the inspection and production of product.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Observe all safety requirements in the work area.
Follow good housekeeping practices in work area at all times.
Have knowledge of ISO procedures and Quality policy.
Control non conformances to prevent unintended shipment.
Ensure all product not meeting specifications are segregated and properly marked.
