Position Description:
- Lead efforts in developing new strategies for operational efficiencies.
- Work with applications teams and stakeholders as the platform technical lead
- Work with highly experienced and technical resource
- Assist technical leads in implementing systems and software updates.
- Document processes, procedures and configurations
- Perform daily operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution.
- Provide status updates of task and project updates.
- Provide system administration support.
- Troubleshoot platform and application issues.
- All other duties as assigned or directed
Skills Requirements:
Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience
- 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer.
- 7 years of experience with problem monitoring and engineering problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures.
- 5 years of experience with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries.
- 5 years of experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
- 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage.
- 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery planning, testing, monitoring and restoration for virtual tape storage systems
- 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS).
- 2 years of experience using Data Domain Management Center (DDMC)
- 2 years of experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) on mainframe systems
- 2 years of experience with Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF).
- Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Durham, NC 5 days a week.
