We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department by assisting with day-to-day human resource functions. The person in this role will have exposure to and assist with highly confidential employee information.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support of a moderately complex nature to the Human Resources Department and support all HR functions.
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Schedule meetings and interviews, facilitate meeting set up and preparation.
• Support onboarding activities related to pre-employment screening checks (background checks, professional reference checks, pre-employment testing).
• Provide professional communication and excellent customer service to staff, clients, vendors, and visitors by phone, e-mail, text, or in person.
• Establish, maintain, and update databases, spreadsheets, records, organizational charts, and/or other documents.
• Assist with employee engagement activities and events; participate on assigned committees.
Open and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and inter-office mail; prepare outgoing mail.
• Maintain HR office equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Assist with special projects utilizing the project management framework as assigned.
This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This position is hybrid, involving both remote and on-site responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience providing administrative support; experience supporting human resource functions preferred.
- Proficiency with technology, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to handle situations with tact and professionalism.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment; skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
