Risk Management and Compliance Manager

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Risk Management and Compliance Manager to manage the day-to-day functions and oversight of the compliance and risk management functions. This includes identifying and mitigating risk, monitoring compliance with the requirements of funders, payers, and accrediting bodies; preparing and submitting required reporting; ensuring compliance with accreditation standards; and managing Network180 policy content and maintenance.
This position is full-time, exempt from Monday through Friday, during office business hours. A flexible hybrid working arrangement is available for this position. The employee may perform work from a home office or work site during regular business hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, law, public administration, human services, or related.
- At least five years of related work experience in compliance, risk management, and/or accreditation.
- Knowledge of management principles and administrative techniques.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and/or analyzing the content of contracts, accreditation standards, laws, regulations, or similar technical material.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external regulatory agencies.
- Ability to present regulatory information a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in an remote work environment.
- Ability to use judgment to make decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to have a broad perspective as well as understand details.
- Ability to manage stress and an ever-changing environment. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of the Michigan Community Mental Health system.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, law, public administration, human services or related. Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
