We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Staff to work with elementary school children and adults in recovery. The ideal candidate will lead engaging, educational, and supportive programs for children and provide compassionate support to adults on their recovery journey.
- Youth Support:
- Plan and lead educational and recreational activities for elementary-aged children.
- Provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children during program activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
- Adult Recovery Support:
- Facilitate support groups and recovery-focused workshops for adults.
- Provide one-on-one mentorship and guidance to individuals in recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support services to coordinate care.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide a non-judgmental space for adults in recovery.
- General Duties:
- Document and report program outcomes and participant progress.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety protocols.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empowerment in all program activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings.
- Experience supporting adults in recovery or related social services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Compassion, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Background check clearance required.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in trauma-informed care or related practices.
- Experience with community outreach and program development.
- Ability to adapt activities for diverse populations and needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 β 29 per week
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
