Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Optic Splicer, located in Nashville, TN. The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables. Daily tasks involve the preparation and termination of fiber optic cables, as well as ensuring that installations meet established standards. The role also includes the maintenance and repair of existing fiber optic networks.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in working with cables and cabling
- Knowledge of electricity and its applications in fiber optic networks
- Experience with hand tools and their use in structured cabling
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Previous experience in fiber optic splicing or related field is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are advantageous
