Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various IT-related tasks and ensure smooth operations across our organization's technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a customer-service-oriented mindset. They will be capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organization's IT infrastructure while supporting end-users across various departments.

- Candidate must possess the ability to successfully complete all required background checks, including clearance up to and including Top Secret/SCI
- This position is onsite and will require working onsite Monday through Friday
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/MIS, IT, or a related field
- Certificates such as A , Security , Network , and Microsoft products support, such as Microsoft Certified Professional, are very helpful for displaying relevant knowledge and capability for this role.
- Experience in IT Support - minimum of 1 year with relevant examples of similar support and understanding of these issues. If you have fewer than 2 years of support, your resume should include an in-depth summary of the types of tasks and support you have provided. If you only have helpdesk experience, it must be Level 3 or Level 4; your resume should include a list of duties and projects you have worked on and how they track to the list of responsibilities in this Job Description.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365 suite and other relevant software
- Experience with inventory management systems and asset tracking
- Familiarity with A/V systems and troubleshooting
- Understanding of network security principles and firewall management support (recognizing we already have a dedicated vendor to manage our firewall). The concepts of firewall installation, support, and management are very helpful.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - understanding how to identify, report, solve, and follow through on requests, even if working with our external helpdesk vendor.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written - since this position interfaces with the PMO, Security Department, Proposal Department, and even our PMs with various clients, the ability to provide written and oral communications is crucial to effective support.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Responsibilities:
- Function as the primary POC for our current external helpdesk, which manages the firewall and O365 environment.
- Manage and track IT inventory, including hardware and software assets. Maintain GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) lists, locations, and returns when staff leave positions.
- Perform break-fix repairs on various IT equipment and systems
- Coordinate and execute system and laptop replacement projects
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot A/V systems
- Provide software support, particularly for Microsoft O365 suite and related software
- Collaborate with other departments, including security, office administration, HR, Accounting, Proposal, Business Process (PMO), etc.
- Install and maintain network cabling infrastructure to include switches and routers and related power distribution devices (Typical Small office equipment)
- Assist with firewall configuration and support - interfacing with our dedicated external helpdesk to ensure smooth operation and maintenance requirements
- Procure office supplies and IT peripherals as needed-typically user devices. Interact with the external helpdesk to ensure they are properly configured and deployed.
- Ensure proper documentation of IT processes and configurations.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with IT service management tools and processes
- Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management
- Familiarity with procurement processes for IT equipment and supplies
- Certification in relevant IT areas (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft certifications) is a plus
