Job Description
NDi seeks an IT Asset Management Specialist with 2 years of experience or equivalent education in supporting asset management within an IT environment. This is an onsite position supporting the Department of Justice, Criminal Division located in Washington DC. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing asset management support, to include the tracking and maintaining assets, conducting inventories, ensuring accountability of assets and related customer support functions. Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- This position is onsite and will require working onsite Monday through Friday.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Asset Management or IT Asset Management or related work
- Ability to conduct analytical and support activities related to the position task areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
- Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel. PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
- Ability to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualification
- AS Degree (or higher) in logistics, IT or a related field, OR 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring of the Service Request Module (SRM) in the Remedy System
- Daily monitoring of the Asset Management Mailbox
- Provide workspace with IT equipment for Onboarding employees.
- Ensure off boarding employees return issued assets.
- Package and ship IT assets to the Regions when required or as needed.
- Update UAPM when new IT assets are acquired, moved, excessed, or removed.
- Keep track of the movement of assets
- Assist with the moving of assets between storage locations.
- Commission/De-Commission an end user's iPhone and/or MIFI
- Place orders for new devices or replacement devices
- Maintain inventory of phone cases and accessories for wireless devices
- Update wireless inventory in UAPM when devices need to be added, recovered, and excessed.
- Development of policy documents
- Prepare, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentations.
- Aid, as needed, with special projects.
- Obtain necessary information from appropriate source(s) to complete assigned tasks and share information with others as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Test case development
- Creating requirements traceability matrices
