What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst position at Network Distribution?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report data to increase Value Chain efficiencies.
- Aid in the analysis of member and supplier value chain activities to determine operational savings and improved business performance.
- Support Value Chain team in creating & generating reports for inventory analysis and performance, sku rationalization, and profitability for Members and suppliers. Will provide ongoing adhoc reporting as needed.
- Coordinate data extractions with membership and suppliers as requested by Value Chain leader.
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative product & financial analysis including but not limited to, identification and assessment of value chain risks, forecasting, regressions, correlation, and overall profitability modeling. (ROIC/RONA/EBIT)
- Maintain multiple data bases and design new reports as needed
- Maintain the confidential nature of the work conducted
- Participate in Member and Supplier meetings to communicate Value Chain current initiatives, analytical results, and goals.
- Recommend ways/methods to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.
- Additional projects and assignments as requested by the department manager.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Ability to build and maintain complex computer applications and programs that perform analysis, organize data, and create reports from various sources
- Ability to perform complex analysis such as financial simulations, inventory analysis, regression, profitability modeling. (RONA/ROIC/EBIT)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated analytical skills and logical reasoning
- Ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels and within a team environment
- Ability to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain operations and/or analytics with a strong knowledge of end-end supply chain processes.
- Must be proficient in analytic processes and capable of understanding the link of supply chain activities with operations, sales, and finance.
- Bachelor's degree - preferred Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Mathematics
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience or knowledge of basic database concepts and SQL
- Experience with Tableau or PowerBi preferred
