Scope of Responsibility :
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for running the maintenance team for Network and ensuring that the physical plant and vehicles are properly maintained and safe.
Working Relationship :
The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Director. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop and maintain relationships with the following :
Executive Director
Program Directors
Finance Director
Residential Managers
Qualifications :
High School diploma required.
Prior supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Proven negotiation skills.
Effective communication and people management skills
Dedicated work ethic
Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
Maturity, good judgment, and ability to handle confidential information
Valid Connecticut Driver’s License and eligibility for Network, Inc.’s auto insurance
Knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the State of Connecticut regarding Community Living Arrangements
Experience in light maintenance, lawn care, carpentry, house maintenance, plumbing
Job Responsibilities :
The Maintenance Supervisor shall have the following responsibilities :
Supervise, hire and evaluate maintenance staff.
Ensure physical plant is maintained according to State of Connecticut licensing requirements. Also responsible for ensuring that work is carried out by properly licensed personnel.
Maintain 24 X 7 on call schedule in support of program locations.
Supervise the repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment as well as vehicles.
Ensure timely installation and upkeep of Network property and systems to maintain operational effectiveness.
Coordinate annual maintenance budget with Finance Director and CFO.
Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for completion of maintenance work.
Ensure that agency premises, facilities and vehicles are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
Participates in ongoing training, inservices and staff meetings as necessary for the department
Adheres to all Network, Inc. policies and procedures
Works as an active and constructive team member in all duties
Maintains confidentiality
Implement and enforce workplace safety policies and standards.
Work closely with Operations Management to ensure program locations are properly maintained and safe.
Act as Safety Committee Chair for Network.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, furniture and / or supplies up to 50 lbs
Carries out other responsibilities and duties as required or assigned
