Network, Inc. is a Non-Profit agency funded by Department of Developmental Services (DDS) who provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities. The RN Supervisor plays a large role in keeping the individuals that we serve safe and healthy!

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the health and wellbeing of the individuals served. They assist in developing medical policies / procedures, in-service trainings, and supervision of personnel in regards to medical issues and medication administration under the oversight of the Director of Nursing. All individuals served are adults with intellectual disabilities in a group home or day program setting.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing. Develops and maintains relationships with the following :

Executive Director

Operations Director

Office Administration

Program Administration

Direct Support Staff

External Agencies

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Nursing Degree / License

Good communication skills, verbal & written

Good interpersonal relationships

Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information

Ability to handle stressful and / or crisis situations

Good time-management skills (ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks)

Must hold a valid CT driver’s license and be insurable with Network’s insurance carrier

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure compliance with DDS regulations

Carry out the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Network, Inc., while following all governing regulations as they pertain to day programs and in-home services and intellectually and physically disabled individuals.

Responsible for all medical care for residents in Network’s day programs and in-home services

Report writing on all individuals in your caseload

Oversee general health and welfare of day program and in-home service participants

Provide medical assessments as needed for residents

Ensure proper procedures are followed in med administration and conduct onsite pass & pour practicums, along with C.U.P. training at day programs and in-home services

Ensure nursing procedures are in compliance with all agency and DDS policies

Assist Director of Nursing when needed

Ensure program compliance with medical protocol through timely and accurate reporting of medical data, both internally and externally as needed

Perform other duties as required by Director of Nursing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program and maintains a current Registered Nurse license through the State of CT.

1st Shift, Monday through Friday

Full Time 40 hours / week
