Position Description :
As a member of the team, you will support CBP's mission by facilitating the acquisition of a mix of services, infrastructure and technology solutions. This is achieved by focusing on acquisition governance, oversight, support, and procurement as well as providing services (program management, financial management and procurement) across all CBP.
Duties & Responsibilities :
The AGO and ASD Directorates Lead will provide expert advice and technical support for the development and execution of procurement documents aligned with the seven steps of the Procurement Life Cycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring that products and services required by CBP headquarters and front-line personnel are acquired efficiently and effectively. The Directorates Lead will resolve critical problems, recommend acquisition streamlining and innovation, and support senior leadership and operational functions.
- Expert Advice and Technical Support :
Offer expert advice to management and technical support for initiating and developing procurement documents.
Facilitate the acquisition of products and services necessary for CBP mission execution.
Demonstrate strong managerial skills in organizing, planning, directing, and managing contractor staff.
Participate in and enhance Source Selection Boards, Integrated Procurement Teams, and focused training initiatives.
