We are seeking a results-driven SLED (State, Local, and Education) Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with state, local government, and educational institutions in the Missouri area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling IT, cybersecurity, and networking products and services, while demonstrating strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Planning – Develop and execute account strategies to drive sales growth in the SLED market, focusing on IT, cybersecurity, and networking solutions.
- Quota Attainment & Forecasting – Consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas through effective pipeline management and sales forecasting.
- Negotiation & Problem-Solving – Demonstrate the ability to negotiate solutions, resolve issues, and overcome objections to close deals successfully.
- Relationship Building – Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement officers, and education administrators.
- Sales Presentations & Communication – Effectively present business solutions to customers, clearly articulating the value of IT, cybersecurity, and networking products and services.
- Opportunity Management – Identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage leads, and drive the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- CRM & Data Management – Maintain accurate sales records and customer interactions within a CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to track progress and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must reside in the St. Louis, MO area
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in IT, cybersecurity, networking, or public sector sales
- Proven ability to negotiate, resolve issues, and close deals
- Strong understanding of strategic account planning, forecasting, and quota attainment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey business solutions effectively
- Experience with opportunity management and CRM systems
- Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term partnerships
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
