Medical Coding Analyst

Job Summary
Networks Connect is actively seeking a Coding Analyst on behalf of a client, to evaluate the accuracy of documentation supporting billed services. This position collaborates with internal teams to develop and maintain training materials, supports coding inquiries, and ensures compliance with current coding standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare coding, auditing and billing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client-provided information and ensure documentation accuracy for billed services.
- Maintain professional communication with clients through various channels, including in-person, email, and phone.
- Develop standardized tools and methodologies to assist clients with coding and documentation efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, coding regulations, and best practices.
- Assist in creating comprehensive reports for provider coaching and training.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Provide creative solutions to improve documentation and coding processes.
Qualifications
- Coding certification required (CPC, CCS, CPMA or equivalent).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a billing and/or coding department.
- At least 1-year medical auditing experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD coding, healthcare billing, auditing and Revenue Cycle Reimbursement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
