HIRING FOR RECYCLING CREW MEMBERS 2024 SEASONAL POSITIONS

Title: Incident Response Camp Solid Waste Management and Recycling Program

Position: Crew Members and Field Managers

Job Description:

NetZero Recycling based out of Billings, MT will be traveling to support the U.S Forest Service recycling programs for wildfire incident response camps on the West Coast (including but not limited to MT, WY, ID, WA, OR, CA, NM, AZ). This job will be working within a team of energetic and motivated individuals to implement and monitor recycling operations for firefighters and incident command at wildland firebase/spike camps.

The recycling program aims to achieve a minimum 40% diversion rate through the collection, sorting, and hauling of recyclable materials. The team will be responsible for sorting out recyclables such as paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans from the waste stream and delivering those recyclables to local recycling centers. We also focus on education and training as they are integral to the program, and engagement from firefighters increases our diversion rates.

Employees will be in direct quarters with firefighters learning and observing the logistics involved in fire camp management. This job is an excellent fit for anyone seeking seasonal, on-call employment.

NOTE: When called to deploy, you must be able to respond to NetZero Team Lead with availability within 2-3 hours and arrive at the incident scene within 36 hours. This is an on-call/seasonal job only, with no set hours or guaranteed work.
