NETZSCH Premier Technologies, LLC is growing and looking for a Senior Accountant to work closely with the Controller with the accounting operations of the company. This position will conduct studies to provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems and analyze profitability on a job basis. This is a hybrid work opportunity and has the ability to work up to two days a week remotely after training is complete.
The Senior Accountant will serve as a backup to the Controller and Accounting Manager for the monthly reporting process and perform general accounting duties. This role will have the following responsibilities among others:
- Participates in monthly closing processes including, but not limited to, the following: posting recurring journal entries, creating and archiving the related work papers, and resolving variances and other issues during the closing process.
- Analyzes and audits job-specific costs and prepares reports for management analysis.
- Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
- Analyzes historical and planned purchases for budget preparation.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Provides various data analyses and reports on Operations KPI’s.
- Maintains cost accounting system/modules within ERP.
- Maintains and modifies sales tax rates in SAP; performs calculations, completes necessary reports and filings to ensure NPT stays compliant with state sales tax requirements
- Analyzes actual sales order costs and prepares periodic reporting comparing projected costs to actual costs.
- Assists in audits and GL preparation, physical inventories and other duties and special projects as required.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field plus at least five years of related accounting experience. Industry experience and/or public accounting experience is a plus, as well as CPA or CMA. In addition, candidates should have:
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office is required. Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Charts, Pivot Tables, complex IF functions, etc.,
- SAP experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute time sensitive tasks.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to learn quickly and retain knowledge in an organized fashion
- The ability to work at least 3 days per week on site after training is complete.
