Job Description
NETZSCH Premier Technologies, LLC is looking for a Laboratory Manager to plan and direct all department activities, including testing with customers, scheduling, organization, maintenance, and investments. Specifically, this position will :
- Plan, coordinate, and direct testing for product development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support to the sales staff through reports, papers and technical presentations.
- Coordinate research and analysis activities according to applicable government regulations, manufacturing processes, or other considerations, and approves modification of formulas, standards, specifications, and processes.
- Directly supervise and provide training for lab employees in the areas of chemical handling, machine operation, and testing procedures.
- Interpret and communicate results of laboratory activities to laboratory employees, sales team, management, and professional and technical organizations.
- Share technical information with lab employees in Germany. Establish relationship with process colleagues in Germany.
- Prepare lab reports, performance guarantees and technical papers. Present technical papers at conferences and professional organizations.
- Advise and assist in obtaining patents for products, processes, or equipment.
- Prepare and administer laboratory budgets.
- Actively participate in the Safety Committee.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe lab.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years related experience and / or training. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. Previous experience managing or leading a team is preferred. In addition :
