What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Data Science Developer position at Neuberger Berman Group LLC?
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive junior developer with 2-3 years of experience in software development or working with data science / quantitative teams to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a hands-on role in uncovering insights from large datasets and building scalable pipelines to support data-driven decision-making. This role will require close collaboration with Data Scientists to deliver high-quality data solutions and prediction systems.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to design and develop scalable data pipelines for processing large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Build robust and efficient pipelines leveraging Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS services such as Lambda and Batch, using Python, PySpark, and Snowpark.
- Support and maintain existing production workflows in Airflow, while onboarding and optimizing new processes.
- Integrate new software tools for advanced data analysis into the existing technology stack.
- Assist in the evaluation of new data sources by facilitating data transfer, processing, and analysis.
- Identify and obtain public datasets, such as temperature and census data, to support team research and analysis efforts.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $90,000-$140,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
