What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trading Associate, Fixed Income - Non-Investment Grade position at Neuberger Berman?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team as a key support for the non-investment grade bond and loan trading desks
- Serve as a point person in the trade order management process, coordinating with portfolio managers and traders
- Ensure orders are in compliance with client guidelines and coordinate with legal and compliance teams to resolve issues
- Coordinate with internal security team to set up and ensure data accuracy for all issuers in our index
- Produce daily reports highlighting market movements and trading volumes for our investment team and ongoing investor reporting
- Organize with our settlements team to monitor efficient trade settlement and provide feedback to traders and portfolio managers
- Collaborate with our client service team to provide accurate and timely information required by clients, maintain and update pitch books
- Candidate will attend daily meetings with traders and portfolio managers, receive mentorship from seasoned professionals and collaborate with many business units across the organization which can lead to opportunities to grow within the team or the entire Neuberger Berman fixed income business
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
- Strong Excel capabilities, familiarity with Bloomberg is preferred or previous experience mastering some software is desired
- Interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics and investing; familiarity with fixed income concepts (yield, spreads, duration recommended)
- Strong analytical skills; capable of solving problems within finite deadlines while operating effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to self-motivate, multitask and prioritize tasks for several different colleagues
- Ideal candidate will serve as a reliable partner to the investment and portfolio management process
- Strong academic credentials, recent graduate (0-2 years out of school)
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
