About the Role

The Sr. Data Engineer will have succeeded in roles like data engineer, data architect, data developer, cloud solution architect. The successful candidate is a leader who has a proven record of solving complex data challenges in an industry context. Leading teams in delivering custom and scalable solutions. This role requires the perfect mix of being a brilliant hands-on technologist while also having a deep appreciation for how technology drives business value.

Responsibilities :

• Lead full project life cycles, from planning and development through deployment and maintenance.
• Advise on modern data architectures, with a focus on Fabric and Azure data solutions.
• Integrate data across various sources, leveraging Azure Data Factory for scalable ETL / ELT solutions.
• Participate in developing strategy, roadmaps, and business use cases for data engineering solutions.
• Design and implement large-scale data pipelines, ensuring scalability, low-latency, and fault tolerance.
• Create custom solutions tailored to diverse industry needs, with a strong focus on visualization through Power BI and similar tools.
• Design and implement robust data models, including Dimensional and DataMart structures, to support scalable and efficient data storage and retrieval.

Requirements :

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.

Expertise in building and optimizing large-scale data solutions using PySpark.

Familiarity with data visualization tools, especially Power BI, for generating actionable insights.

Experience with additional cloud and data platforms, such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Tableau.

Proven experience with other Azure cloud resources (Databricks, Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Power Platform).

Experience with cloud data infrastructure and provisioning of resources using GitHub or Azure DevOps.

Ability to travel up to 25%

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $145,000 and $160,000.The salary range may be different if the successful employee is in a different state. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
