The Role:
The Microsoft Technical Power Platform Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite. The role requires expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents, and Power Pages along with a deep understanding of business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and functional consulting leads to analyze their requirements, provide customized solutions, and ensure the successful deployment of Power Platform solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect technically robust solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Pages, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Develop and implement integrations between Power Platform solutions and other systems using APIs and connectors.
- Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between Power Platform and external applications.
- Design and develop complex workflows using Power Automate to automate intricate business processes.
- Develop and manage data models with Dataverse, including designing and implementing relationships between tables, configuring business logic, and ensuring appropriate security roles are applied for data access and compliance.
- Implement advanced process automation solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
- Provide technical training sessions to end-users and internal technical teams.
- Configure and optimize Power BI dashboards for data visualization and analytics.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making.
- Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and enhance productivity.
- Provide training sessions and oversee UAT on Power Platform applications.
- Work closely with the Technical Solution architect to align on functional and technical solutions
- Lead or support client workshops to translate technical requirements into Power Platform applications
Qualifications:
- Power Platform solutions development: Power Apps, Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop), Dataverse, Power Pages, AI Builder, and Copilot Studio.
- Implementation of Power Platform governance and compliance best practices, including DLP policies and managed environments.
- Integration of Microsoft Azure components: API Management, Entra ID, Azure Storage Accounts, and Service Principals.
- Proficiency with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using Managed environments with Deployment Pipelines.
- Backend system integration with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure SQL.
- Expertise in Fusion Development: collaborating with professional developers and integrating custom APIs or scripting.
- Deployment and configuration of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit for enterprise enablement.
- Design, testing, debugging, and deployment of scalable Power Platform applications.
- Process mining and optimization using Power Automate Process Mining and AI-driven tools.
- Documentation of solutions using flowcharts, diagrams, and other technical documentation formats.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience
- 7 years’ experience in MS Power Apps
- Experience with Visual Studio and TFS or other source control management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Power Platform Fundamentals or higher certifications are preferred.
- Ability to travel 25%

For Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $180,000. The salary range may be different if the successful employee is in a different state. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
