We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Event Cook to oversee and execute high-end catering events with precision and professionalism. This role requires experience in elevated hospitality and fine dining catering, with a strong understanding of allergies, dietary restrictions, and impeccable food presentation.
As the Lead Event Cook, you will take ownership of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), manage production lists, and assist chefs in both a la carte and in-house catering operations. You will be proactive in ensuring flawless execution, maintaining high culinary standards, and mentoring event cooks.

Requirements
- Lead the execution of high-end catering events, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards
- Review banquet event orders (BEOs) daily, making note of any updates or changes
- Manage and control production lists, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in preparation
- Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Banquet Captain to coordinate event production and plating
- Maintain a strong eye for detail, ensuring food presentation aligns with luxury hospitality standards
- Ensure allergy and dietary restriction accommodations are properly executed
- Support and assist chefs with a la carte and in-house catering operations
- Establish daily priorities, balancing production and preparation tasks among the team
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure all workstations are fully stocked, clean, and organized
- Monitor and mentor event cooks, ensuring proper execution and adherence to kitchen standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols
- Proven experience in high-end catering or luxury hospitality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage production and mentor team members
- Expertise in food preparation, plating, and dietary accommodations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Availability for nights, weekends, and some holidays as required for event execution
