Neumann University is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant (GA) - Late Night & Weekend Programs. The Graduate Assistant for Late Night & Weekend Programs serves within the Office of Student Engagement & Orientation to support in the development of a sense of belonging for all students that is grounded in Neumann's Catholic traditions and Franciscan values. This position will report to the Associate Director of Student Engagement & Orientation or their designee and serve as a member of the Office of Student Engagement & Orientation professional staff leadership team.
This position will begin in early-August 2025 and end mid/late-May 2026. Participation in the August GA training prior to the start of the fall semester is required. This position is a 10-month, live-on required assignment (August - May). Graduate Assistants reappointed in this role for the following academic year may continue to live in their on-campus apartment if they participate in a summer duty rotation. No other responsibilities will take place during the summer terms.
This is a full-time (3/3) graduate assistantship; not to exceed 20 hours per week, including regular evening, weekend, late-night, and on-call responsibilities, which include serving in an emergency response capacity as needed. Expected to extend hours when necessary and may be adjusted to meet University needs. Position responsibilities may be adjusted when they are on-call so their hours do not exceed 20 hours per week.
Qualifications: Enrolled master's degree candidate in an approved graduate program at Neumann University is required; Bachelor's degree required; professional manner and appearance; enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Neumann University; registered for at least 6 graduate credits during any semester in which you are awarded a GA position; maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above in graduate courses; one year of experience working in higher education student affairs is preferred; excellent communication, organizational, customer service and team development skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, and to work quickly and accurately; high degree of confidentiality and professionalism; experience with Microsoft Outlook and other Office Suite Applications preferred. Candidates must possess an appreciation for and congruence with the Catholic Franciscan mission of the University.
