The Position
A psychometrist technician will be responsible for administering, recording, and scoring neuropsychological tests, writing behavioral observations, completing forms, and consulting with clinicians.
Job Duties
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Administration of neuropsychological tests
- Timely recording, and scoring of tests with complete accuracy
- Documentation of patient behavior during testing
- Compliance with clinic documentation standards
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff and patients
- Upholds the welcoming environment of the clinic
- Supports team members to keep the clinic running smoothly
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
- Genuinely kind and professional demeanor
- Keen interest in mental health and the aging brain
- Quick thinking and calm under pressure
Requirements
- BA in Psychology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Sciences, or other closely related field
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Word processing and spreadsheet competency
- Dependibility
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day. Frequently moves about inside the office to access files, copy machines, etc. Constantly operates a computer, calculator, and copy or printing machines. May occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently communicates with patients, staff, and providers and must be able to express oneself clearly and accurately.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a temperature-controlled, indoor office setting. The work environment may sometimes be loud and distracting.
Schedule
The regular hours for this opening are listed below, applicants must be available to work the entirety of each of these shifts. Additional hours may be available depending on coverage needs, and the ideal candidate will be someone who is able to cover additional hours when necessary.
Wednesdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
