JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a highly skilled Linux Developer to join our innovative team. This role emphasizes Linux experience and software engineering skills, with a focus on desktop development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux development, Citrix, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development and Engineering:
• Develop and maintain Linux-based desktop applications.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new features.
• Engage in some administrative operations related to the systems built by the team.
2. Resource Management:
• Manage resources effectively to ensure project timelines are met.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with team members to enhance their development skills.
3. DevOps and Automation:
• Focus on automation and flexibility within the development process.
• Utilize tools such as Ansible, Packer, Python, and TerraForm to streamline operations.
4. Collaboration and Learning:
• Work closely with peers and leaders, demonstrating openness to feedback and a continuous learning mind-set.
• Participate in multiple rounds of interviews and vetting by vendors and HR to ensure the best fit for the team.
Qualifications:
1. Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Linux development and Citrix.
• Proficiency in Ansible and Python.
• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS is a plus.
2. Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
