Neuro RehabCare of Kansas City is a comprehensive post-acute brain and spinal cord rehabilitation residential care facility, seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join their team.

Essential Functions: The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders caused by neurological injuries and impairments.
- Develops and implements treatment plans for speech and language problems based on own assessments and recommendations of internal and external members of the treatment team to include primary care physician and specialist.
- Writes reports and maintains proper documentation of information including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
- Participates in and writes reports for meetings regarding patients' progress, such as individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.
- Evaluates hearing or speech and language test results, medical information and background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders.
- Completes administrative responsibilities, such as coordinating paperwork, scheduling case management activities, or writing lesson plans.
- Instructs clients in techniques for more effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading, or voice improvement.
- Administers hearing or speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments, using written or oral tests or special instruments.
- Educates patients, family members and other supportive individuals about various topics, such as communication techniques or strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.
- Follows all HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements at all times.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience. Experience in a rehab, brain and spinal cord injuries and/or developmental delays preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Required:
- Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist in good standing
- CPR and First Aid
- Active Fingerprint Clearance Card, as required by Arizona state law
