About the Role:
The Executive Director, Commercialization Lead- Late Stage Psychiatry Assets is responsible for leading commercial development and launch planning in the US for two late-stage psychiatry assets in major depressive disorder and schizophrenia. Reporting to the Head of New Product Commercialization, this high-profile role will lead commercial strategy and all facets of brand development to position these assets for commercial success.This commercial leader will be a skilled marketer with extensive branded psychiatry launch experience, brand development and team leadership. Generating market insights across key stakeholders, establishing competitive differentiation and go-to-market strategies are fundamental to the position.
Additionally, as the commercial core team lead for these programs, engaging with internal and external stakeholders while working collaboratively across functional core team leads at Neurocrine is fundamental to success.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Lead the development and implementation of commercialization strategies for late-stage psychiatry assets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and strategies
Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive disease state and product-specific commercial plans to support successful market entry and growth
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the development teams, ensure effective commercial insights are incorporated to achieve commercialization objectives
Contribute to ongoing market intelligence and customer insights, driving collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to support market acceptance and adoption of late-stage psychiatry assets
Represent the commercialization function in cross-functional meetings and presentations, effectively communicating commercial strategies and progress to senior leadership and external partners
Lead commercial development to maximize the value of assets, build and implement pre-commercial marketing plans, and plan and conduct market research and analyses to refine market understanding and customer needs
Create preliminary brand plans for specific products, develop and lead commercial advisory boards and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagements, and refine gap analyses, positioning, and value propositions within competitive frameworks
Generate customer insights and recommendations to inform clinical development, evidence generation needs, and other elements impacting product labeling and overall commercial viability
Work closely with internal Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Market Access teams to build appropriate evidence generation to support differentiation required for commercial success
Collaborate closely with senior core team leads, Advocacy, Finance, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial success
Monitor competitive therapies of relevance to Neurocrine to allow development teams to react to new information by strengthening underlying product candidate profiles
BS/BA degree in a scientific or related field and 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech commercialization, with a focus on late-stage psychiatry products OR
Master's degree or MBA and 15 years of similar experience noted above
Extensive knowledge of new product commercialization/planning, prior brand marketing launch experience and/or experience leading and building psychiatry brands
Exceptional command of data analytics, forecasting, and market research techniques with a proven ability to interpret market insights to guide strategic decision-making
Proven track record of successful product launches and commercialization strategies, with a deep understanding of the psychiatry landscape and market dynamics
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven decision-making approach
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including strong written and oral communication abilities
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and ability to partner with colleagues across business, regulatory, and scientific functions within an organization
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, and leadership
Knowledge of biotechnology or pharmaceutical market, including sales, marketing, pricing, reimbursement, and product development
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results amidst ambiguity and complexity
Experience working in a matrixed organization and navigating complex cross-functional dynamics
Position will be in San Diego and remote work is not available, but Neurocrine offers some work-from-home flexibility

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $259,300.00-$375,475.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
