MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join our Neurocritical Care Unit (NCCU).
In conjunction with a Neuro intensivist, our Advanced Practice Providers directly manage patients in a 15-bed, high-complexity, level 1 NCCU. MedStar Franklin Square is certified by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
The APP participates in bedside procedures including central and arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, and EVD maintenance. Additionally, the Advanced Practice Providers lead our Stroke, Sepsis and Rapid Response Teams, providing emergent bedside analysis & coordination of care throughout the hospital setting.
Schedule : Full time, nocturnist
Education / Licensure : Current BLS / ACLS certification. Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program, board certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and registered / certified by Maryland Board of Physicians (MD BOP). Graduate of an accredited acute care NP program and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Qualifications : One year of hospital medicine preferred, ideally within a Critical Care, or Neurocritical Care setting, with experience in advanced procedures; new graduates may apply.
