Duties
- Accurately document patient histories, examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
- Assist healthcare providers in maintaining comprehensive and organized medical records.
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and outpatient procedures relevant to the specialty area.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including managing patient flow and coordinating appointments.
- Stay updated on best practices for documentation in various settings such as dermatology, geriatrics, and trauma centers.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Experience or familiarity with medical administrative support systems.
- Knowledge of outpatient care processes and protocols.
- Understanding of medication administration procedures within a clinical setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Operating Rooms (OR).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients alike.
