We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and support within a medical office environment. You will be responsible for managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in our office.
Duties
As a Patient Services Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting them with their needs upon arrival.
- Managing appointment scheduling and confirmations to optimize patient flow.
- Handling incoming calls and addressing patient inquiries regarding services and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assisting with insurance verification and processing payments, co-pays and other billing related inquiries.
- Collaborating with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Utilizing medical terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and healthcare professionals.
** Must be willing to travel to multiple Neurology and Pain Management Clinics.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative support functions is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems is a plus.
