Medical Receptionist / Assistant- Part Time

We have an immediate opening for a part-time Medical Receptionist with flexible schedule for our location in New Tampa area.

Monday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday- As Needed

Wednesday - 8:00 am -5:00 pm

Thursday - 8:00 am -5:00 pm

Friday - As Needed

Specialty Physician Practice

  • Working experience in a doctor's office or any other healthcare services required.
  • Eclinical Works experience preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience, Written and Oral Communication Skills, Computer Skills (If you do not have this please do not apply).

Job duties include patient's check-in, check out, insurance verification, Electronic Medical Records, answering phones, scheduling, and a general knowledge of the doctor’s office processes, protocols, and policies. Answer phones promptly and with excellent customer service skills

  • Help with Front Desk or Back office
  • Collect co-pays / Process patients pay
  • Vitals
  • Maintain office organized and clean

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. MA training and Associates degree preferred.

3. Customer service experience preferred.

4. Experience in medical office and/or customer service-related environment preferred.

5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer use is a must.

1. Excellent customer service and communication skills (Written and Oral)

2. Empathetic personality giving attention to patient’s concerns and needs.

3. Management of multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Ability to follow instructions and conform to office protocol.

5. Analytical problem-solving skills.

6. Strong organization skills with attention to detail.

7. Respectful treatment of patients and co-workers, with ability to work in as a team player.

8. Pleasant personality and disposition, with positive attitude.

9. Requires a clear criminal history and drug screen and excellent references.

10. Computer Skills, Microsoft Office, Typing skills 40 wpm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
