Neuron is seeking a Sales / Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to our Cruise & Ferry customers, who are focused on elevating onboard connectivity and digital experiences for their guests and crew. As Neurons Cruise & Ferry Sales / Solutions Engineer, youll be the technical bridge between our customers and internal teams (both pre- and post-sales) to educate and drive both the uptake of Neurons products and services, as well as the successful implementation of Neurons products, which include advanced analytics and AI-powered network management solutions. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our customers needs are not only met, but exceeded, through expert technical guidance, proactive problem solving, and unwavering dedication to their success.

What You'll Do

  • Act as an in-depth technical consultant for Neurons Cruise & Ferry customers and partners, on all technical issues
  • Be able to create technical documentation, presentations and white papers as needed
  • Leading technical sales and demos to customers and partners
  • Perform equipment demonstrations and lab testing of network solutions
  • Assist in the development and generation of formal sales proposals to ensure technical accuracy
  • Understand customers business needs and match them to Neuron products or highlight potential new product development opportunities
  • Work in tight collaboration with Neuron Product, Marketing and Engineering teams, assist in the capture of evolving market requirements to drive product development life cycles, shaping Neurons product and service offering
  • Manage and engage in escalations between Neuron, Customer and Service Providers.
  • Identify ways to improve Neurons support of its existing customer base.
  • Engage and work closely with customers' operational teams to address non-standard concerns or issues related to ESpace Platform.
  • Support Project Management with technical details on all projects (existing and new).
  • Consistently interact with customers to drive customer satisfaction.
  • What You'll Need

    At least 5-years of recent experience of the following :

  • Proven experience as a Sales / Solutions Engineer with a solid background in IP networking and SD-WAN deployment.
  • Familiarity with cruise and ferry industry connectivity challenges, and best practices is highly desirable
  • Experience in mobile network segment and / or broadcasting and / or telecoms.
  • Experience in capacity management and / or systems engineering and / or other pre-sales engineering functions.
  • Ability to engage in preliminary discussions around design and implementation of solutions.
  • Experience in an operational environment from a satcom service provider is desirable.
  • Knowledge of digital network communications and RF signal theory, digital satellite network architectures, IP networking, traffic management, QoS. Knowledge of VSAT networks and platforms as well as TCP / IP protocol suite and network protocols (unicast / multicast, VoIP, IPsec, etc.)
  • In addition to the above employment background, we are looking for individuals who possess the following :

  • At least Masters degree in Math / Physics or Electrical / Telecommunications Engineering or Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent professional qualifications / experience
  • Strong understanding of SaaS solutions and experience working with clients in the cruise & ferry industry.
  • Project management training and experience, including the use of PM tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers, project managers, and internal teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to occasionally work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.
