Personal Assistant/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients by offering companionship, assistance with daily activities, and specialized care. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide memory care and support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Monitor patients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Assist with home health tasks, including medication reminders and basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide hospice care when needed, ensuring comfort and dignity for clients at the end of life.
• Work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, adapting care approaches as required.

Skills

• Experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing or home health is preferred.
• Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care strategies is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Strong patient monitoring skills to observe changes in client health status effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Experience:

• Caregiving: 3 years (Preferred)
• Working with people with developmental disabilities: 2 years (Preferred)
