The Manager of Business Intelligence is responsible for managing one data analyst with the goal of turning data into valuable business insights. This person collaborates with business leaders translating business requirements into specifications to design and develop new reporting solutions, building models and relationships between data tables and systems in the data warehouse. To do well in this role, you need to be able to adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines and communicate effectively with the team.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Oversee and guide one data analyst providing mentorship, training, and fostering professional growth
- Lead meetings and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to gather and make recommendations for reporting requirements for ongoing programs and initiatives
- Establish data quality process and compliance with data standards to ensure data integrity and normalization
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports and insights
- Support the warehouse by periodically auditing data sources to confirm reliability and performance
- Generate new reports in Power BI from the data warehouse using SQL and DAX languages to prepare and model data according to established relationships
- Work closely with IT to add, validate, test, and maintain data sources and existing reporting
- Troubleshoot user support tickets and resolve issues with existing reports
