Roles & Responsibilities:
- A Behavioral Technician will visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. Our providers typically work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts primarily in the evening hours. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.
- Provides hands-off emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household and establishes a relationship with the client and family
- Implement interventions from the Individual Support Plan
- Assessment of functional skills (Including ADL’s – Activities of Daily Living).
- Utilizes redirection to minimize problematic behaviors.
- Adherence to the requirements and deadlines for weekly note submission and data collection (D.A.P. notes)
- Assist/guide parent/guardian in following treatment plan under direction from Therapist.
- Crisis Intervention, recognition, and intervention.
- Actively promotes client’s mental alertness and engagement through involvement in activities of interest
- Follow and implement agency policies.
- Participate in required training.
- Provide services In-home, In-community, and In-center (Orange Twp).
- Participates in case of reviews, consulting with the team caring for the client, to evaluate the client’s needs and plan for continuing services.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience OR 1 year of experience with a valid Registered Behavioral Technician Certification.

- 1-3 years experience in behavioral healthcare.
- 1-3 years experience working with children with disabilities.
- Valid NJ Driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
- Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks.
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Welcome.
