Job Summary
We currently have an opening for a Front Desk Associate at our well-established practice in McKinney. The qualified person should bring office experience, proven self-starting skills, and the ability to collaborate well with other staff members. Other attributes include high level multi-tasking skills and an empathetic communication style. The candidate's abilities should also include excellent attention to detail and a friendly demeanor as we are the first contact with parents and potential patients seeking our services. Our practice assists young children, adolescents, and adults with their mental health and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Answering the phones and conducting intake process
- Checking in patients using our established protocols
- Updating the calendars of four (4) doctors as necessary
- Respond to the needs of the doctors and their patients as they wait in our office
- Maintain an orderly office, addressing neatness and stocking supplies when necessary
- Respond to various emails from patients, doctors, billing department, co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Process payments and follow established billing steps on a daily basis
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office setting is required
- Excellent communication skills with outstanding phone etiquette
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical CPT and/or diagnoses codes helpful but not required
- Proficient in using various computer systems
- A college education is valued, although not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 30 per week
