The Patient Care Manager is an integral member of the administrative team. This role combines leadership, operational planning and hands-on service delivery. The Patient Care Manger promotes team-based development of service delivery standards, integration of quality improvement initiatives, and risk management for Neuroscience Group clinical services.
For thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management, and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 50 providers and serves patients in eleven outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. Requirements : RESPONSIBILITIES :
Patient Care
- Manages all clinical care service activities related to patient care in neurology, neurosurgery, physiatry and infusions to include developing and maintain all standards of work
- Develops and models standards, policies, and procedures to ensure caring, compassionate, professional health care services are provided
- Maintains a safe, clean, and professional environment that complies with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for coordination, direction, implementation, evaluation, and management of team members needed to accomplish the goals of clinical care services
- Selects, supervises, trains, and evaluates clinical care service staff needed to achieve the clinical service goals
- Works with staff to maintain effective programs, such as infection control, OSHA, blood borne pathogen and ergonomic programs which promote the health and safety of staff and providers
- Manages all medical student rotations, job shadow opportunities and LPN / CA rotations.
- Manages the medical records team and medical forms team.
- Regularly assesses facility requirements needed to promote the most effective and efficient patient care delivery processes, including hours of operation, room utilization, space use, etc. in collaboration with the Operations Team
- Works with the Director of Clinical Operations to assess annual staff-related budget items and assesses monthly expenditures in relation to budget
- Manages clinical care service office and medical supply procurement, use, and accurate billing-related procedures for medical and office supplies
