Position Overview
- Answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff.
- Greet patients and assist them in use of electronic sign-in pad
- Update patient records, verify referrals & patient insurance information.
- Obtain referrals when required
- Check out patient and schedule follow up appointment
- Call patients to reschedule appointments
- Complete daily administrative tasks such as faxing, mailing appointment reminders, respond to patient messages
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years of front desk experience in a medical practice preferred or one year of customer service experience required
- Be a fast learner, professional, organized, have good verbal communication skills, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of reception tasks, clinic policies, and patient paperwork
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
- Excellent customer service skills demonstrated in a prior position
