Neurotech Pharmaceuticals is an innovative biopharmaceutical company located in Cumberland, RI and Needham, MA, within Greater Boston’s vast biotechnology landscape. Since our inception more than 20 years ago, we have been developing a proprietary drug delivery platform for treatment of a variety of retinal disorders. Our drug delivery platform - Encapsulated Cell Technology (ECT) platform is designed to deliver genetically modified therapeutics to slow the progression of chronic retinal diseases. Our most advanced program is delivering a neurotrophic factor to treat the orphan disease Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). For over two decades, we have pioneered the development of our proprietary Encapsulated Cell Therapy (ECT) platform, designed to address chronic retinal diseases. Our lead program focuses on Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel), a rare retinal disorder, leveraging ECT's innovative approach to provide sustained, targeted treatment directly to the eye. We are excited to expand our company from a research organization to a commercial entity following a positive rendering from the FDA on or around March 18, 2025.
The Director/Senior Director, Business Insights & Analytics will be an integral partner to the commercial leadership team. This position will be commensurate with experience and will be responsible for defining and evaluating brand performance, enabling data-driven decisions, and proactively delivering actionable insights. Responsibilities include insights and analytics, including primary marketing research, secondary analytics, forecasting guidance, and competitive intelligence. As a key partner to commercial leadership team, you will help identify & enhance certain opportunities and strengths while also assisting the business by uncovering performance challenges via data analysis and insights. A key component to this role will be integrating and determining the short- and long-range trajectories for the Encelto in Macular Telangiectasia and/or other indications. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills and a results-oriented/“business owner’s” mindset. In addition, he/she will have a strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, primary market research, a strong foundation in secondary data analysis, and strong business acumen.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the relationship with the Commercial Leadership Team from an Insights and analytics perspective
- Drive Analytical Initiatives: Scope, lead, and deliver cross-functional projects across core insights functions, including market research, forecasting support, competitive intelligence, brand analytics, and field analytic
- Deliver high quality ad hoc analyses to leadership that offer clear recommendations in support of brand strategy and/or when necessary to challenge ways of thinking
- Collaborate with external consulting agencies on advanced analytics and business intelligence needs to guide brand strategy and aid in field execution
- Provide commercial team with comprehensive performance, target audience, and market insights to support strategy & resource investments
- Manage insights spend to allocated budget; pursue novel research methodologies that offer new capabilities and ways to optimize project efficiency
- Drive innovation in analytics and business execution to have impact on the business performance and investment strategy
- Lead all forecasting activities to build out a 1, 3, 5-year forecast and beyond.
- Lead all analytics on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and will be responsible for tracking performance using those KPIs to adjust the forecasts accordingly.

Requirements:
- BA/BS degree; MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience performing analytics and insights for a pharmaceutical brand
- Experience LEADING a pharma and/or device brand from an Insights perspective
- Solid understanding of commercial business and industry standard data –IQVIA, Symphony, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors, and Managed Care data assets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including Excel modeling skills
- Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure PowerPoint/Excel deliverables
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Experience launching products in a start-up and/or lean environment.
