Currently seeking a Credentialing Coordinator in the Las Vegas area!

Tasks
- Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
- Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
- Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
- Ability to follow PHI, HIPAA and other security guidelines
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of initial credentialing applications for healthcare providers.
- Gathering and verifying provider information, including education, licensure, certifications, and professional references.
- Maintaining accurate provider credentialing records and ensuring data integrity in credentialing systems.
- Collaborating with internal departments to collect required documentation and information for credentialing purposes.
- Conducting primary source verification of provider credentials, such as contacting educational institutions and licensing boards.
- Monitoring the expiration dates of provider credentials and initiating re-credentialing processes in a timely manner.
- Assisting in the coordination of peer review activities and committee meetings related to provider credentialing.
- Responding to inquiries from providers and internal stakeholders regarding the status of credentialing applications.
- Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and payer credentialing criteria.
- Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of sensitive provider information throughout the credentialing process.
Qualifications
- 1 or more years relevant experience
- Business office experience required. Healthcare, provider enrollment or managed care organization experience is preferred.
- HS diploma required. Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications in credentialing or contracting are beneficial
