Novum Health / Nevada Behavioral Health is looking to hire its next Human Resource Director. Novum Health is a multi-state behavioral health company that currently has over 200 employees now and will have over 300 employees in the next six months.

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will be instrumental in our continued growth, retention, and training of our employees. This position is an in-person position in Las Vegas, and it is not eligible for remote work.

Job Purpose

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the organization's human resources functions. This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and develop a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Managing employee relations, including handling employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Administering compensation and benefits programs, including salary planning, performance evaluation, and rewards.
  • Developing and implementing training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Managing employee performance evaluation processes and providing guidance to managers on performance management.
  • Overseeing employee engagement initiatives and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Handling HRrelated data and analytics, generating reports, and analyzing trends to inform decisionmaking.
  • Collaborating with senior management and providing HR insights and recommendations to support organizational objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Strategic Human Resource Leadership

  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and multistate employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Proven experience in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals in a growing, multistate environment.
  • Expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, and scaling HR operations to support business expansion.

Investigative and Compliance Expertise

  • Skilled in conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Ability to assess, address, and mitigate risks related to employee conduct and compliance with workplace regulations.

Technical Proficiency and Systems Alignment

  • Advanced proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and other HRrelated technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, optimize, and integrate HR technologies to meet current and future organizational needs.
  • Experience in implementing and managing datadriven solutions for workforce analytics, compliance tracking, and employee engagement.

Multi-tasking and Prioritization

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
  • Adept at balancing strategic initiatives with daytoday HR operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Change Management and Staff Development

  • Proven ability to lead and support organizational change initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience in building, managing, and developing HR teams to align with company growth and objectives.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex issues, identify solutions, and make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Expertise in leveraging HR metrics and analytics to inform decisionmaking and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Project Management and Initiative

  • Proficient in managing multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving HR innovation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Master of Business Administration preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of HR department management experience.

Minimum of 6 years of direct HR experience in a dedicated HR department.

Certifications

Verifiable and current certifications as a PHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
